Check this Out -- Overboard Survival Float w/ Marine Shotgun

OK, let's not turn this into another Americans are stupid and don't need guns thread...I saw this at my local Academy Sports today -- around $300.

O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc. - Firearms, Shotguns, Rifles, Accessories, and Precision Machining

It looks like a over the side float. Comes sealed with a butterfly nut at one end and attached to a line.

Pretty neat idea.

Hey! That's my gun.

(I have this... it's IS great!)

The mariner version of the 500 comes with Marinecote, which is a special coating that keeps the gun from being able to rust (externally anyway).

I've been meaning to get a proper shoulder stock for taking it bird hunting. Well, when the delivery is over...

**Don't be fooled by the leatherman and knife. Both are garbage. You are buying the gun and waterproof case.

In one post, David solves ALL concerns about carrying guns into other countries !! ha ha ha

Very good!

I had the police board me recently in the ICW and they took a look at it. Didn't say anything and went on to check the head to see it was going to the holding tank.

Ii figured if anything have it tied off under the dinghy with other "survival" gear. Or just let it hand overboard with the other "non-gun stuff"

Of course I'd get rid of the "Hey I'm a shotgun" writing on the sides

This one is actually s/s AND nickel plated.

Model 1300 NRA Coastal Marine Defender

Put it in an 100mm orange PVC tube with screw off ends and dummy it up to look like a danbouy

I wouldnt want to actualy get busted in a foreign country without declaring it though
