Re: Ten Tomm and Mississippi current this spring

Valhalla the trawler that came thru a few years ago during a flood was a 32' Grand Banks single engine. One of the guys onboard had bought it on Kentucky lake and was taking it to Minnesota, they were using vacation time to move it and the trip was going to be a week to 10 days longer than they planned. The roller gates on the dams were open so the current was higher than normal in the pools, the dams aren't for flood control their function is to hold water back to maintain the navigation channel during the dry season.
