MX Mariner problems?

I've used MX Mariner and NOAA charts on the East Coast for several years without problems. I'm now at home in Seattle trying to plan for a trip on the Chesapeake this summer. When I try to switch to a chart region in the east from my local area chart MX immediately quits. I don't remember having problems switching chart regions in the past. I have re-installed MX and updated the relevant NOAA chart regions on my Nexus tablet. The OS on the tablet is Android 6.01. Maybe I'm having a senior moment but am thoroughly stumped. Any guidance would be appreciated. I cannot find any way to contact MX Mariner for an answer.

More: The only way I can change chart areas is to uninstall an area and then re-install. Then it becomes the active area. I cannot switch to the other areas I have installed. If I try to use the drop down menu to chose a different region MX quits. I submitted an error report but no response.

I've never encountered this problem, but I wonder if, as a stopgap measure, it would change the outcome to turn off your phone's GPS and then try switching chart regions?

Re: MX Mariner problems?

Thanks for the feedback. I tried what you suggested but no joy. I uninstalled all regions and then installed the Puget Sound area and had the proper charts with the borders outlined on the larger map. I then installed a region from back east and those were now outlined on the main chart but the Puget Sound charts were not and I could not switch to them. Turning on or off the GPS has no effect. I have a feeling its a bug in the latest MX update which I am running. Will post any progress, if any made.

Re: MX Mariner problems?

Google is showing the latest MX Mariner update was Oct 31, 2015. Does that seem about right for when the trouble started showing up?

BTW, out of curiosity, what kind of device and what version of Android are you running?
