That is an excellent compass. I have the older version on which you can see any of the card without holding it to your eye.

That looks like a very cool thing to have. In reality, I don't need one right now, I don't have a boat, however, its a very cool gadget and I can see the advantage of having this if you ship/sail. Very cool link and thanks for posting this.

I do not have a boat either (actually never had one) but many of the charter boats and school boats that I have sailed have horrid hand bearing compasses.

Also I have a couple so that I can have a couple of students take bearings at the same time.
