Interesting, but again--and still--the big problem is the monitor. I have yet to find a monitor, at anything like a reasonable price, that is fully daylight readable.

I keep looking, but they are not out there. So long as it is less expensive to just buy a dedicated chartplotter, than it is to buy the monitor alone for something like this, it just does not make sense.
