I confirm that the former version of ge2kap V28 and rexx 4.. was working under this windows XP pro sp3.

upon your advices, I'd tried to install OOrexx 5 11852 and sat2chart V2 (uninstall and reinstall twice) I still got the same msg "sat2chart.exe not a valid win32 app"

OK can you try OOrexxV4.2.0 and see if it works. here is the link:

There is no V3 of Sat2Chart. V2.0.0.0 was just released today

I could not download OOREX 420 from sourceforge because of uncompatible version of my browsers IE or Chrome (maybe too old as not updated since 2008) msg in french :

Ce site ne peut pas fournir de connexion sécurisée

sourceforge.net utilise un protocole incompatible.

so I pick it up on your website is this a mistake? otherwise I could download the install package using another machine running win 10 and then transfer it to my win xp.

unfortunately the combination OOREX 420 and SATCHART V2 lead to the same problem.

Hey Paul, maybe a clue that can be usefull (or not) for you : on my boat laptop XP sp3 pro edition ,
when (in any combination of versions rex 5 sat2chart v1 or v2 or REX 4.20) I try to clic on any rex command directly from the directory of sas2chart IE: check.rex I get the following error :
rexx.exe entry point not found
the proc entry point GetTickCount64 is not found in the dynamics links library KERNEL32.dll

the same thing occurs when running on my other laptop under XP sp3 home edition...

any ideas?

try this: Open a command prompt and cd to the sat2chart directory which should be:
cd \sat2chart\sat2chart.v2.0.0.0 (assuming you have V2.0.0.0 )

Then enter: sat2chart.rex

What do you get?

Yes I type SAT2CHART.REX not exe (fingertip in my post)

now I try REXX -V and again the same error :

Then either OORexx is not installed correctly or you have something wrong on your XP systems. Try uninstalling OORexx using the Control Panel then install it again and take all the defaults. Does it install properly?

probably a win xp OOREX concern as I did reinstall many time OOREX 5 or 4 with the default. and as winxp is not supported anymore I wonder how I can get around this.
I think I'm gonna use sat2chart on my home laptop win 10 working fine and transfer the KAP over the boat laptop. I miss my NV CHARTs calc then but OE chart are a minimun. after all what I need is a sat chart with depth informations that's all

Probably a good idea. I installed XP in a VirtualBox on Windows 10 and I get the same errors as you do and have been unable to resolve.

Question: are you running a native copy of XP or in a virtual machine?

Have you tried OpenCPN? Does it work on XP?
