Charts/GPS BVIs>St.Martin [seeking advice]

Hey all,

Planning a short charter from BVI's>St.Martin and back and looking for advice on charts. Charter company has the BVI's covered; I'm looking for a cheap, quick option to use for St.Martin. I've read up on the passage, just hoping to get ahold of some paper charts to help with entry/sailing around St.Martin.

I've also poked around at GPS + plotter software. Don't do enough sailing to justify anything fancy but seeking opinions on cheap usb GPS receivers to hook up to my Mac or possibly just a handheld GPS. Amazon seems to have a selection and elsewhere free software appears available.

Been reading up from a variety of resources but any other thoughts/recommendations for this trip along with cheapest chart + GPS/plotter options [compatible with a macbook] are welcome.

Cheers
