A Couple of Free Android Apps

Two free apps that may be useful to some cruisers are in the Google Play Store:

1. Watch Alert - a count down timer for watchkeepers and single handers that flashes and sounds an alert (slowly increasing volume) if you don't hit the reset button before it counts down to zero. Can be configured from 1 - 99 minutes. Day and night colour schemes.

2. Solar Calculator - calculates solar azimuth,altitude, local noon etc for any date/time and location. Also lists azimuth and altitude at half hour intervals for the selected day from sunrise to sunset.

Solar Calculator has been updated to include lunar data (Altitude/Azimuth, Phase, Illuminated %, Moonrise/Moonset and date/time of the current cycles "quarters") and has just been updated so that it works properly on phones as well as on tablets.
