Lofrans Cayman Problem

Will operate in down direction only. Definitely not a switch or solinoid problem. Resistance between hot and return one on up circuit and less than an ohm on down circuit.

Could this be brushes? Are there separate brushes for each circuit? Can you have a motor winding failing in one direction only? How do I access the brushes on the Cayman?

Thanking you in advance...Bob

I had a similar problem with one, so I pulled it all apart trying to figure it out-after opening it up and not seeing anything wrong I put it back together again and it’s been working ever since, I don’t know what I did, but whatever it was its working well for the last year?? I bought the black box thing that it all plugs into thinking that had something to do with it (never used it)
the brushes are there once you take the motor out of the housing

CREOLE-BELLE,

These two post may help you understand the wiring and how to try some over rides to test it out.
