Trading 9.9 hp for 15 hp

Dear all,

Please let me know where there might be good sources for finding the value of 2 dingy motors. Currently in discussion with another boater who is looking for a smaller dingy motor and I am looking for a larger dingy motor.

Open for feedback on barter ideas as well as value of the following:

1-2003 15 hp HP merc dingy motor - great shape
2-2005 9.9 hp 4 stroke Yahama - great shape

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Marc

Dingy motors are not worth much.

Dinghy motors, that are not dingy, on the other hand...

Assuming your Merc 15 is a 2-stroke, they're probably worth about the same in equal condition.

Regardless of hypothetical "value," if each of you is happy for a trade, why not simply trade them and both be more happy?

Who cares whether a bunch of strangers think you made a good or bad deal? Please yourself as long as it hurts no one.

Marc! We're back and coming to Fort Pierce with the 15HP engine on Monday, January 19. (Could also do it on our way to Ft Lauderdale on Sunday, but prefer the return trip on Monday). Where are you? Can't seem to reach you through other means.
