2.9 PSI - Is there a good gauge for West Marine RU-3?

All the reviews for the gauges are pretty poor. The one for my SUP is a bit small and won't "lock in".

How do y'all get it right at 2.9? I don't want to over/under.

By feel, although you can use a gauge. Just keep in mind that many gauges will not show much of anything during the first part of the process, since the pressure starts to rise quickly only when the tubes take their full shape and the air actually starts to become compressed.
Tubes need to be very firm, but not rock-hard.
