UK Supplier of 1x19 316 Wire and Monel Rivets?

Hi,

I am just about to start on an unscheduled replacement of my rig, and am doing this in the UK. Currently I have the old rig and a new secondhand mast without fittings.

I know that I am going to need some new stainless 8mm 1x19 316 rigging wire and some monel rivets but googling has not so far produced any obvious sources so I would be grateful to hear of others' recomendations and experiences. I am somewhat worried that the suppliers only service the 'trade'.

Thanks
Chris

(Obviously I could pass the whole problem over to a professional rigger, but I do not have that much cash and am trying to save it for cruising!

I have other rigging queries which I will post under the heading "Rerigging a Maica ".)

In the past I have got monel rivets from Seasure, but I think the minimum order was 100.

Adrian at Eurospars in Plymouth hs always been very helpful for small orders.

Thanks a lot to Anjou and Richard for the advice and apos for my slow response.

In the end I was lucky with 1x19 as a rigger acquaintance got me a roll.

For the monel rivets I ordered them over the Internet from
Stainless Steel & Monel Metal Rivets who were very efficient.

BTW, for length of rivets for given thicknesses being joined, spacing and loads more rivet centric info I found here Spacing and Edge Distance
They are aeroplane oriented but normally aero standards are higher than marine I think.

Ohhhh
I saw this thread and thought, ..........Hmm, groundhog day, im sure I replied to one like that ages ago !!!

Aero specs are deff higher than marine, as demonstrated by the extra digits on the price tag.
