Storing anchor in the locker - 2

Hi, I am starting a new thread because I think my question in the original thread was not very clear.

I would like to store the anchor in the locker, rather than on the roller, while underway.
I am having a bit of a hard time securing the anchor in the locker, to avoid it banging around in the locker.
What do people do in this situation? Do you install some type of hook inside the locker so you can attach a line to it? Do you wrap the anchor in something? ...
My boat is a 35' sailboat with bowsprit.

Thank you!

Re: Storing anchor in the locker - 2

This is the second thread on the same topic.

And the second time I will make a few friendly suggestions intended to help you.

1. Post the specific model of your boat
2. Take your camera and make a photo(s) of your anchor locker and anchor. Show the depth of the locker and size and style of your bower anchor.
3. In a photo, show us how you currently stow the anchor.
4. Post the above in a thread and ask for suggestions based on YOUR particular anchor and anchor locker.
________

Reasons for those suggestions above?
Because people have different types of boats and some have shallow anchor lockers and others are very deep. Some have none. Some have collapsing Danforth type anchors, and others have roll-bar ROCNA style, etc. Some drop their anchors down flat on top of a pile of rode, some store it upright, etc.
__________

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Had the same concern when we changed to a Rocna. A pair of cheap car mats laid along the sides seems to be doing a good job. Previous owner lined the locker with a couple of pieces of ply but they were always wet.
