Spinnaker switch?

I have a cruising chute from a boat with I of 47'. My boat is I=56'. Can I use it or is just too small?

Odds are the pole will be up near your first set of spreaders if it's a symmetrical. Hang it up in zero breeze & see, just for grins. But almost certainly it'll be too small, regardless of cut.
