pirate Backup Autopilot Aha
I was delighted to discover a functional backup Raymarine ST2000+ tillerpilot in a locker on my son's P30. Our Cape Horn windvane has a slick internal crank link between the oar trim and either the windvane or a pilot in the lazarette. The load on the pilot is just grams to steer the amplifier oar.

The ST2000+ is fully independent of the STng network but can speak Seatalk if desired. This is an ideal complement to the Raymarine STng Evolution main pilot. The assistant can hibernate in a Faraday cage. Wakey if the network goes down.
