A monster took the Mastfoot

Hi everybody!

A new sailor and proud companion of an old Albin Vega.I have come to seek guidance from you (hopefully) wise people here at the cruiserforum! Im new to sailing / cruising and this is my first boat. So lets be fair. Ill probably have som lingo off.

So three months ago i bought a run down, scrapyard Albin Vega. I blew life into her during some weeks and as soon as i she was ready. We set sail towards the med (from Sweden).

Right now im in the french waterways, going south towards Marseilles ( yes , i didnt die along the way due to inexperience.

Its now unmasted and the mast sits on X's. yesterday, the gods were not on my side. And my engine died suddenly and with a slight current and no power we took the first life line offered. In a very hectic towing situation the mastfoot got knocked overboard.

Im arriving in Marseilles and will be ready to set sail again within 3 days. And i have no Mastfoot.

Does anybody have any input or support to offer in this ?

So when you are done laughing at this funny mistake, please dont forget to mention your tips too
