Just a Thought

Just a thought, {besides my previous questions}
This is probably a question for Richard k but he's on holidays and probably sick of me asking him stuff.So i was hopeing some of you guys might be able to help . When we repowered Byamee i did not reconnect the engine driven eutectic fridge as it was on a lay shaft and Yanmar would void the warranty if i did so . Reconnecting using a pto would be a hugh job and one that i'am not really interested in .The thing is that i have these beautiful eutectic holdover plates already installed {see pic} .My question is could i use a 12 volts system to get them working rather then buying a evaporator plate.It seems a shame that they are just going to waste. They have R404A in them but i guess i could drain that out.
I know there are a few on here who are pretty cluey when it comes to this sorta thing so any ideas would be appreciated.
