I can weld up an equivalent of a whale gusher diaphragm bilgepump out of scrap stainless in less time than it takes to go buy one , for a few dollars worth of material. Those airbrake diaphragms that truckers use make good bilgepump diphragms for a bilge pumps. My book tells you how to build them.
