anyone know what cooling unit is?

Hi All,

My name is George and I live in Austin Texas.

I'm trying to set up my refer for the upcoming season.

I found this in my attic my wife bought a few years ago and it is called a "Ice Box Conversion System" that I want to install in my cruiser refer.

Can't find any info on it and it was packaged in a Norcold box.

The only other info is VXC 40 Seriel# NTN-0009 0650 040 4210

Any one have any clue if this for a 12 volt, 120 volt or gas.

I assume the circuit board is some type of power board but doesent resemble any other norcold products.

If you're entertaining wild guesses:

Based on my new Norcold refer (that runs on gas, 12VDC and AC) this looks like the board in the back that you connect the 12VDC power to. You have the same connectors as my 12VDC in terminals. (see those heavy gauge black and red wires going in).

So... my guess is that this will run on 12VDC at least.

Also, based on the number of other connections I see, this might also regulte the operation of the refrigerator.

All a guess though...

Yes, ssullivan, your wild guesses are entertaning. I was kinda wondering why this circuit board looks so complicated, but there is no eyebrow to hook up to.

I saw one other similar model in my search, but no circuit board connections.

I will try contacting Norcold tomorrow as GordMay suggests.

This is probably the new version of what you have...

Looking at the website the "40" might refer to a compressor size rather than a model number (i.e. 40watt)

Probably is the new version, I'm thinking my model has been discontinued just as the unit I'm trying to revive and it is not listed on the Norcold site neither.

The only electrical board on the SCQT 4407 I see is the power supply. hmmm?

Also, I am going to pick up some o-rings for my onan generator tomorrow at Fleet Maintenance that are in. Perhaps the parts guy have some ideas
