Re: Removing Bow Thruster for maintenance

Update.

Thanks to John Mardall from Vetus Maxwell Group I have been able to troubleshoot the thruster to some extent. The solenoid needs to be cleaned up.

But that's not the real problem. I tested the thruster without using the solenoid and assuming I had it hooked up properly, it didn't work. The access panel to the brushes is partially blocked by a small partitioned area. And I still cannot remove the upper section from the leg section.

So, as it stands, I'll keep trying PB Blaster to see if it eventually frees up and then I'll be able to take it to a shop. If I cannot get it apart I'll just have to leave it in place, inoperable.

Many thanks to John. He has gone above and beyond.
