Send a message via ICQ to keller
new propeller

I had been perplexed seeing the color of my diesel exaust (white and very smokey) and the amount of oil my motor would use up during a cruise.

The whitish smoke suggested oil being burned and or water in the combustion chamber. It turned out that the problem was the size of the prop. when I decreased it's diameter the smoke went away the efficiency of the prop increased a lot. seaferers take note.

What did it do to your oil consumption?
