Trawlerfest/Naptown Boat Shows

My eyes are blurry from looking at miniscule photos and specs while searching yachtworld for a reasonable but respectful trawler. Thanks to all of you I am armed with much more info. I plan on attending the Trawlerfest in Solomon's next weekend and visiting the boat show">Annapolis Boat Show (both sail and power) the next two weekends. I have never gone to a show actually attempting to try to find and purchase a boat. Any suggestions?

In case you need to know- I am not a very successful bargainer-my joy shows on my face too readily.- Not good at poker either!

Traditionally, Indianapolis, IN is known as Naptown. Are you applying that term to Solomon's or Annapolis (or both)? Sorry, you've lost me.

As an Annapolitian, I apologize profusely for not knowing that Indianapolis and Annapolis shared the same nickname. It shows I definitely need to find a boat and travel more extensively. I do know that to some MRE means "meals ready to eat", here it means the "Maritime Republic of Eastport." I read that some members are coming to the Boat Show(s). Parking is available in Eastport, and there are some great places to eat there as well.
Me, I will be boat shopping

Okay, got it. Anyway, who knows - maybe Annapolis was the first Naptown and the citizens of Indianapolis appropriated the nickname. Kinda like Cincinnati, the Queen City, and Denver, the Queen City of the Plains.

One of those "chicken-and-egg" questions about which came first.

PS: Good luck in finding the right trawler for you! (Me, I like Nordic Tugs.)
