Re: Some Advice Please

Hey -
I live in ns. There are no dry stack storage facilities here, and to my knowledge, no forklift equipped marinas either. This sure as heck ain't Florida. There's only ~900,000 folks in this entire province, and it's not that much smaller, physically, than Florida.

That said, there are good marinas/clubs- probably about a dozen or so scattered along the coast.

You come here already- where do you want to keep your boat?

There are folks who do exactly what you are proposing, but it is imperative that someone here looks after the boat. We get 2-4 tropical storms running thru each fall, and rarely full blown hurricanes. Last big one was 2004. Made a heck of a mess- folks here deal with winter storms with winds over hurricane strength routinely - for days on end- each winter, but when they show up in the summer, we are really reluctant to put away the lawn furniture and abbreviate an already short summer!

Most marinas will look after a boat for a fee, and there are more and more independent contractors who will do it too.

If you are not here to deal with it, you will need one of these guys.
