Good Surveyor/ mechanical inspector needed

Hello all,

I have gotten a couple of good referrals for surveyors but I wanted to see if anyone else might know someone good in the Gulfport or Florida area?

Also a Detroit Diesel engine inspector if you know a good one

Thanks.

Let me clarify my request. I have gotten a couple of good referrals, but they are not located in the area that I need. If you know someone good in the Florida/Gulfport area I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Its 900 miles from Pensacola to Key West.Florida's coastline is 1, 200 miles. It's over a 2 hour drive from Pensacola to Gulfport Mississippi. You have to go through Alabama to get to Gulfport. You may need to narrow your search area a little bit to get an answer.

I would ask of a boat yard as they know who is good in the area. You could also ask the local banks/finance as they have a preferred list. Make sure the survey is a SAMS, Society of Accredited Marine Surveyor http://www.marinesurvey.org/index.html. Also make sure they do the survey by the ABYC, American Boat and Yacht Counsel, American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC): Welcome standards as insurance companies will probable require. The surveyor will be able to recommend a local diesel mechanic to look at the engines
