Hey folks got a quick question. I've always had small o/bs, this is my first i/o. I just bought a 1985 Century Mirada 25 with a 5.7l omc. can anyone point me in the right diraction to find the original specs on ths boat? Specifically i'm looking for fuel consumption. I plan on rebuilding the carb and i'd like to upgrade to H.E.I. dist. before launch anyway, but I was looking for a base point. Thanks.

Just a word of advice from expeareace. I have done many EFI upgrades in the past and to be honist it is not worth it due to cost unless you are planing on doing it rite. The last one I did was to twin 454 340hp merc at aprox 5700$ pr unit. It only raised the eff by about 13%. Been doing the for doom years and it doesn't always pay off.

Thank you GordMay. I have no idea why it was such trouble to find.
@ fkittson, thanks for the advice. What I was talking about was an H.E.I. ignition. It's a 50,000 volt coil that's mounted/ integrated to the distributor. They give a good strong spark.

Nothing wrong with the Hi voltage ignition. Get marine stuff though... not hot rod stuff. Is the 5.7 the GM based 350 or the Ford based 351?
Have you run the boat? If I were you I would get a baseline for how it runs with the carbureator as is if you havent run it. 2bbl or 4bbl?

I just acquired a century 275, would appreciate any info, pictures of engine bay,pumps, batteries, position of everything In the engine bay, looks like someone was working on stuff in mine, would like to put it back together right.
