Re: Anyone Else Tired of Winter?

I've got the opposite problem here in Miami. We never got any winter. I'm not bragging, I'm complaining. I look forward to some cool weather and we've only gotten a few cool days this year.

At least it's warmer than last month.
Why do I live here again? Anyone? Anyone? Bueler? Anyone?
B/c Canada starts at the 49th parallel. It's good that you have outposts like AU an NZ to migrate to.

I agree! I lived aboard at theRickenbacker Marina and the bathroom facilities had an huge open vents in the walls of the shower stalls. All Summer I wondered what would happen when Winter came, would it be too cold to shower? Of course Winter never came.

Re: Anyone Else Tired of Winter?

Winter mountain biking, snow shoeing/hiking and skiing keep us outside and active. Next winter we may be in the Bahamas. It is hard to imagine missing a winter as I haven't in 48 years. At least it will give me a chance to get back into windsurfing or maybe try kiteboarding.

And I'm moaning when its 28 ABOVE zero. I remember fondly living in Antigua, having a party on the beach, and swimming New Years day.

Re: Anyone Else Tired of Winter?

I usually move to the mountains and ski through the winter... this year there is very little snow so the skier in me is sad, the sailor in me is sad. The fortunate thing in western Oregon is that winters are short.

Re: Anyone Else Tired of Winter?

We've had the warmest winter I've ever seen with no temps at or below freezing.

But its been freaking raining since November its seems. Dull grey and miserable.

I'd take cold with blue skies anyway. The boat is getting mouldy

Winter is when stuff gets fixed! But if your tube of 5200 freezes then its just boring. Maybe I will go skiing.

I was tired of winter when it was still around the corner.

Well Dave you know what they say about rain. "At least, you don't have to shovel it."

Stay warm.
I know its cold when the ducks are pecking on the cabin top trying to come in.
