Awesome! Now we have the face to the name. We can spot you in port, even when your off the Bird. Blues eyes like the ocean and sky, silver hair like the froth of the waves.

Re: We're Out of Here!

Wowser! Zee, you're on your way!! Very happy to see it. I'm just catching up with doings here and prepping and provisioning my friend's boat to leave ourselves from La Paz for Hawaii on Thursday. My boat is on the hard here until I get back to a few projects next Sept. My friend was extremely helpful with sorting out issues on my boat and I am glad to have a chance to help him by crewing so he can get his boat back up to Seattle.

Stuff seems to happen for a reason often, and the new crew will likely be a good stroke for the voyage. David, thanks for all you work helping our Zee get the Bird in gear and launched. There's an old saying that "he who gives early, gives twice."

Fair winds! Mexico is great. Every day a holiday and every meal a feast.
I'll see ya next winter. Jon

Carribean53... don't forget fishing licenses for Mexico... MX authorities are pretty sticky about everyone on board having one. Can pick them up in San Diego... don't remember the address but any marine store can get you pointed in the right direction. Great that Zee' has some new shipmates for her passage... cheers, Capt Phil

Unfortunately they are arriving in San Diego well after hours of the conapesca office.

However, conapesca has a window at the port captain/harbor master office here in Ensenada and they shouldn't have a problem getting it here. Our experience in the port captain's office in Ensenada was very good. They were helpful, relatively friendly and helped us sort out the insurance issue when we arrived. No horror stories to report from here.

Re: We're Out of Here!

what david said....is very compatible here with ADD---i do well with manana time...
all went smoothly--is difficult to believe all the horror stories -- but i know they are true.

everything happens for a reason and our omens were a good thing-- i love my guardian angel team -- they rock. that bell throwing thing was awesome, as the storm was a lot nastier than was reported-- as usual-- donot ever believe noaa- they do lie. i figgered tha tto be the case-- i was shown a report before i left-- a cpt in my mooring field showed me report for severe front-- with 75 kt winds inside and preand post frontal mayhem--- so when the calm came and the bell fell and tom looked like death on feets , i HAD to come in-- weda gone hurt if we had stayed out there in it-- the front had tails to south of turtle bay-- weda not
made haven in time.
everything happens for a reason.
the only constant is change.

Re: We're Out of Here!

Things do happen for a reason, 75knt winds would be no fun at all.

Re: We're Out of Here!

I sure hope your guardian angels hold up...lol. BTW...our last name is Angell...pronounced the same as angel but has twice as much 'L'

I picked up the sail tape but may have bought the wrong stuff. I sent you the catalog page email. If it's the wrong stuff, pick what you want and I'll exchange it.

Now let's hang no more talk about 75kt winds...you got me shiverin'
