Exclamation The 19th Annual Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race

This may have been mentioned elsewhere, but since it's just around the corner, reminder. Info at:

The Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race

It should be an awesome sight.

I'll bet. I soooo wanted to be in Annapolis this weekend. However, that four letter word starting with "W" managed to scuttle that idea.

Hope your (wine) hangover isn't too bad, Tom.

If only that were the case, although "whine" is probably more the case because of WORK

Cheers!

After the schooner race, the Richardson Maritime Museum sponsors a Rendezvous in Cambridge, a great event in a town with a long heritage of hospitality.

Forecast looks to be good north winds. We 'll be heading out for 10 days this Friday and perhaps we can catch them at New Point Comfort or Wolftrap on Sunday.

All I can say was that fom my vantage point...it was awesome....it clouded over a bit then at about 1730/1745 the sun came out and really lit up the sails.....I will post some of the better pictures I took.

The sad part is that there was virtually no coverage in the local RAG Baltimore Sun.....

and the City didn't seem to be very supportive either......

We keep our boat just south of Annapolis, I am going to try and sneak away from work to go see them pass Thomas Point and Bloody point area.

Had to pick one

I went to the boat show in Annapolis for the weekend but couldn't stay. It's only a short hop from the Atlantic City area, but some stuff had to get done around the house for the rest of my fall vacation time. Love to see those ships though. We do get the tall ships coming up the river to Philly now and again though.
