Re: missing sailor

This is not "sad". Everyone dies, but better to have a quick death sailing in paradise on your own boat than a slow death in hospital.

This is how my father wants to go. If he buys another boat I will know he has decided to move on.

Re: missing sailor

"But investigating officer Senior Constable Scott Stephens told Fairfax Media in 2008 that while he could not rule out a pirate attack, the most likely scenario was that Mr Qualtrough had either accidentally fallen overboard, been knocked over by the boom, or his yacht had sunk in heavy seas"

What a lame statement from a non-sailor. I doubt pirates in the Pacific and I doubt heavy sea (if there were any) could sink a 52ft. boat. Obviously it disappeared. Maybe holed or sprung a plank since he last worked on it and was inexperienced with boats.

Re: missing sailor

"Misadventure" surely the best way to go!
