Bridge crushes mega yacht

Part Of Draw Bridge Crashes Down On Mega Yacht « CBS Miami

Quote:
As the ship passed through, the East side of the draw bridge suddenly started to slip and crashed down on the yacht, taking out part of the roof causing tens of thousands of dollars in damages.
Only 10s of thousands of dollars? I am going to guess just fixing the paint job will cost 10s of thousands...

Re: Bridge crushes mega yacht

A less than 50 metre boat for sale for less than 20 million doesn't even cut it as a super yacht let alone a mega yacht.

Re: Bridge crushes mega yacht

Now any piece of white plastic is called a yacht. I guess get an alloy or steel boat. If you can afford one.

"The yacht, which costs a little more than quarter of a million dollars to charter for a week was waiting for a visit from the Coast Guard and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission before it could continue on."

I live the down the street where this happened many years ago, went down and saw the ship after the accident. What a mess. Came down to a drunk bridge operator that was called in last minute to work for someone else.
