Old Searches

It would be really nice to have an easier way to use this excellent site regarding the pulling up of all old threads on any given subject. That way one doesnt have to keep 'reinventing' the wheel.

Perhaps I have just missed this nice feature.

David,

Have you tried the Google search feature? It's in the pull-down menu in the "Search" button on the upper right of the page.

I don't know if this has been discussed before but is there a way to do an advanced search using multiple words as an exact phrase? For example if I want to search the phrase: "Water Heaters" I get results for every post that has the words "water" or "heater" individually which is way too broad.

SW,

Use the Google search feature in the smaller "Search" pull-down menu up top. Then us the standard Boolean syntax for your searches.

"water heater" returns only "water heater", not "water" and "heater"

Use quotes to return an exact phrase, use AND to force both terms to be in the search, use OR to return one or the other if you're not sure which is best (like pics OR photos).
