It only happens when you log on. I think you are just "TROUBLE".

-tdd - and you know what that stands for.

I had a nice big, well researched thread just about ready to post when the site crashed... Oh well, that will teach me not to write it first in word, then C&P it here!

Hey Dan, I've been trying to cut back.

I've spent too long writing a post, and timed out. All was lost.

That bites. I was on, too, but luckily (for me, and probably the readers as well) I wasn't writing anything at the time.

It seems the server has the holiday hiccups. I apologize for the interruption - hopefully we have it worked out.

If you change to the Firefox browser, you won't lose anything . . . just back up to the page with the post in it. If you don't want to do that, and you even suspect that you may have timed out (it happens), then copy your post before you click away from the page you composed in.

That way, if you click on Submit Post and all you get is the message that you timed out, all you have to do is open another browser window, open CF, log in if you've been logged out, go to Private Messages, click on Send New Message and paste the copied composition in the text edit box. You'll be good to go with a fresh clock.

Janet, with an avatar like yours, no need to apologize...

Thanks, Tao. I'll pretend that I can remember your instructions. Maybe switching to Firefox would be easier for me.
