Looks pretty arid - is there any nearby vegetation?
I don't get any sense of scale from the photo, how large is/are the bay(s)?

If you look at the bay on the left you will see a white spec. That is Makai our 38 foot long Catamaran.

The area is very arid very desert like. Tons of cacti and desert veggitation. I took the photos from the top of a 2500 ft peak.
