Spliced mast and 1 shroud

Hello, we are interested to buy a catamaran 44 feet long, so its not a small boat. It was built in 2009, comes with a spliced mast of 15m and each side of the rigg just has 1 shroud.

Feeling safe? Not really. Can I please have some input?

A picture would help give an opinion based on some basic gut-feeling, always better then some vague bla-bla.

Sounds like a lot of problems. The mast is very short for the size of the boat so unless it had unusual specs from the start this sounds like a real patched-up job. Spliced mast suggests it was broken. Of course, lower shrouds are not necessary on all boats, but that depends very much on the engineering details and unless this is very much original design you would need engineering input to evaluate. If price is good might be worth considering new mast.
