Ergonomic wheel house design

Im finishing up the several little projects on my build, so now I need to start thinking about the wheel house interrior. My first question is obvious, What would a well designed wheel house have in it? Ive made of list of things that might need to be included, however Im looking for input from those that have been there and done that. I realize thats an open ended question without knowing the planned use of the boat. Its entirely possible I will be in the carribean one year and photographing icebergs the next year....
This is what I have so far;
Elecrtonic nav station,
charts and table
compass / chart locker
engine room guages
various exterior light switches
bilge monitors
12v monitors
radio
horn?
wind speed/ dorection indicator
enginroom hydrocarbon monitor/ fan switch
rudder postion indicator
auto helm controlls
bow thruster controlls

Any input is appreciated, Thank You

Re: Ergonomic wheel house design

our pilot house is also our saloon,so there is enough space for 2 people to sleep around the saloon table.
also there is a fridge/ freezer with built in cold water dispenser
,computer terminal and screen that can be used as a plotter or to watch movies.
sound system.
sat phone and ssb.

we also have a diesel heater up there which keeps it toasty in winter.

Also windshield wipers and defroster from hydronic system, ice maker, stereo system, spotlight controls, iPad mount, depth, generator controls/AC panel, and I'm sure a few other things we've forgotten.

Re: Ergonomic wheel house design

Movie station and sound system - a must have! Mine does have a bunk, but the helm is more of a one seater. Thanks Atoll

Re: Ergonomic wheel house design

Friends had a Brewer designed boat with a berth in the wheelhouse. Both people were right there if the need arose on a crossing. Easy to wake someone up to steer while reefing, passing front etc.
