WTB: Hunter 41: Southern Calif.

My wife and I are looking for a Hunter 41 Center Cockpit for coastal cruising around California and Mexico. We might also consider a 41 Deck Saloon. A clean, well-cared for boat is a big plus! In-mast furling is required since I will be sailing short-handed. Owner improvements such as a dodger, bimini, davit system, solar would be great, but not required.

We live in San Diego, but are also viewing boats in the L.A. area.
Thanks!

Steve and Maggie

Re: WTB: Hunter 41: Southern Calif.

Hi, As someone with in-mast furling system on a Beneteau - i don't feel it makes short-handed sailing easier, except for reefing maybe. Otherwise I think it may be more complicated and have a higher chance of malfunctioning when compared to the traditional setup. Also does mast re-wiring more complicated due to less space.

Just a small personal note.

WTB Hunter 420 Center Cockpit

I got the model number wrong. We are looking for a Hunter 420 Center Cockpit, not a 41CC. The 420 CC was produced from 1999 to 2005.

Thanks,
Steve

I have the 05 44ds in mast furling with the electric winch full Vertical battened main. Perfect for single handing. Never an issue whatsoever. Don’t listen to someone that says in mast furling isn’t any good. I used to buy into that also and almost past on my boat because of it. I love it and love the boat!

I know that its not in California it is in Hawaii and I think its a 41 and its beautiful The name is Sabbatical I looked at it in Kauai but asking price was out of my budget. the price has now been reduced. (to within my budget but have found another already) I think it has been moved to Ohau, its worth a look on line anyway.
