New Boat

Hello, and hopefully this is the place to ask. (new user)

Recently purchased an 89 Galaxy 19cc 3.0 liter

Took her out yesterday for the first time and she did OK ? with the exception of after the first few circles around the lake. I went to put her in Neutral and she died.. Went to restart and had nothing at the key. SO after a few choice words i settled down and began to think. I found that the Ignition fuse had blown.(stole a fuse from the bilge pump). So i started to try to crank her over and nothing.. she'd turn over but cough cough sputter pre fire and nothing... So after a few more choice words I got to thinking maybe she is looking for fuel. So i tried pumping the gas which isn't possible but the i noticed she would sputter a little more life with the choke open. Which prompted me to increase my idle speed screw a half a turn and then dial my elec. choke one click right. And she fired up and ran well the rest of the afternoon.

So my question is.. Does anyone have an old owners manual for this boat. Or is their someone here that could point me in the right direction to find out what amperage fuses would be installed in my Ign / Blower / Bilge / NAV/ Horn fuse slots for i stole fuses from them to get the starter to work. They were quite corroded and i was unable to read their ratings and they are not on the fuse caps.

Also what my idle rpm should be, now that it is turned up she clunks a bit going into F & R. made ait a little tricky trying to dock and load do to the increased surge when going into gear.

I should say this is my second boat. Last one i owned was 20 years ago.

Thanks in advance to any help ! HAve a super day !

!

I'm trying to find out what a Galaxy 19cc looks like.

All I can find is an image of the solar system or a telephone.

If your boat is a power boat you'd be on the wrong forum.

Can you elucidate?

You've asked in the right subsection here... but mostly folks here are sailors... so you might also get more info from thehulltruth.com since there are a lot more folks where who own boats like that.
