I wouldn’t waste time or money trying to repair a possible knockoff CQR because you can buy a genuine used one for next to nothing, plus they don’t perform even close to what many newer anchors do. I’m sold on my SPADE but as the anchoring threads that Ann mentions show, there are several other good options as well. Your CQR will make a good conversation starter as a sculpture if carefully and thoughtfully placed in your flower garden.

Yup. And if you really want a CQR just go to any consignment shop- tons of CQRs sitting around for cheap as folks have wisely spent money on a Mantus or Spade or Excel, etc- the best of the best IMHO

Yes, I suppose that thread could be construed as “irrefutable evidence” . . . . Maybe the collective experience/knowledge on YBW is better than CF.
