If this is the switch I'm thinking about there's one major downside. It only allows paralleling two battery banks, not 1 or 2 or Both. So if bank 1 is totally dead or worse, shorted, you parallel... |

If you connect the charging source (alternator, solar, wind, etc) to one battery bank that is connected to 1, you have a second bank connected to 2 then at Both all the batteries will be connected... |

How tall are they? You can mount the switch higher than they can reach. :wink: Or get a switch with a key lock built in and hide the key in the nav table. |
