Havent used FastSeas, other than to play w it a little, but typically weather routing algorithms avoid land masses. Ive never encountered one that would route you down a canal/channel. |

InReach cannot receive email. Text messages only. Its tedious to send weather/routing via text, but it can be done. Chris Parker will do it, but its not the prefered method. |

Definately one of the pro's of InReach vs most other gear for the boat is that it can be used for many other activities. I take mine hiking, camping, biking, 4WD'ing, kayaking...even on an easy day... |

Yes, and paired with a phone/tablet is a much better interface for messaging or viewing charts/maps. Without that the display is so small as to not be very practical. Also the selection of... |
