My anchor wont't in any type of locker. The best I can do is strap it down on the foredeck to the bowsprit (the portion that's on the deck). And sure, I'll use some big bungies to help cinch it down...

If you have a roller, most people just pull it snug against the roller and call it good. I keep the chain loose on the windlass and have a line from the samson post (or deck cleat) keeping the anchor...
