Just hope that if they have got a Cheoy Lee, they recognise she is a pedigree and treat her accordingly.. and that she carries them...

I thought it was common knowledge that an MOT (TUV) is only valid for 24hrs after the test.. its just a financial tactic to screw you by the Ministry.. :biggrin:

From what I understand it was lying on the sandbar and was 1/4 visible.. where on the sandbar was it and.. could it have been pushed by waves and tides into deeper water where it would no longer be...

I'm a Luddite.. I just go to the bookstore and look in the Hobbies and Recreations section.. and buy what I want.. if not there I order it.
But then I'm in favour of local shops so I don't use...

Gotta hold my hand up to that.. well it was just under £200 in my pocket and zero assets (apart from the boat) to get a Hunter37c from Oriental to the UK.. so it can be done.

You guys think you have problems.. This area was full of buoyage and at night there were lights everywhere marking the many shifting sand bars and channels..
That was pre Tony Blair and Gordon...

Go in slow and monitor your depth log constantly on a rising tide.. preferably without a following sea.. if you touch bottom you can back away.

Running aground happens on the Isle of Wight side of the Solent.. skipper see's a couple or three sailboats anchored close to shore so charge's in to grab a spot.. then hits bottom.. hard to tell a...

Here's a video.. you can see the boat at various states of the tide.. sometimes half the hull, sometimes just the top as it lays there.
Do not think he knew quite where he was or what the depth was,...

Kinda hard to do if grounded and on its side in 3-4ft of water.. and full off water due to wave action and rising tide.
If chart depths are to be believed they grounded at low water as (if depths...

Just saying.. how I read a chart and someone else reads a chart may not be the same.. as previous posts of confusion demonstrate.....
