Something bugged me about the second diagram, realized when I re-calculated the hull area I didn't re-scale the drawing. I scaled it off the waterline length in the first place.

Been reading this with interest.

I think the article at jordanyachts is trying to simplify the issue too much, to the extent that it is factually wrong. You can't just say CLR forward = weather...
