I think the finish left from the peel ply is perfect for painting. You don’t want a finish like the outer hull no matter how fair and shiny that is… makes it look cheap and bath tub like.

I had those panels with foam and vinyl. Itis very costly and the vinyl goes bad like a PVC dinghy: it discolors and becomes sticky.

I’m currently building new ceilings made out of 5mm thin plywood...

Also don’t shy back from doing some experiments. Try to mix some microspheres through TotalProtect until it can be applied with a putty knife :thumb:

Not sure if you could use this or not but I seem to remember you can use epoxy primer when the hardener isn’t amine based?

When you would use a high build epoxy primer you can get pretty good...
