You clearly didn’t read my post right. It mentioned “seaworthy”. Maybe I should have mentioned “modern” as well, because there were a lot of problems in the 1600’s too and at the time those may have... |

Every monohull that is in seaworthy condition. Once they heel 90 degrees, all wind pressure is removed from the sails and they still have much positive buoyancy. |

They put the rudders there because the engines are midships and you want the props just in front of the rudders for better steering under power. |
