Just saw the detail picture of your upper end fittings. Don't know if it contributed to your other failures but when I re-rigged the rigger put toggles at the mast attachment points. Not sure it it...

Might want to check Hayn fittings.



If you can get wire and the fittings shipped in it is a (relatively) simple job to actually replace the forestay where you are.You could actually do the...
