Don't get me started.

You can't even buy lengths of tubing at box stores anymore. Say you need 50' for your boat. Nope,. You have to buy a 200' roll online or little 12' long pieces pre packaged...

It’s true for boat owners too, I’d say. Maybe the buffer/polisher gets more hours and maybe the sander on some boats.

I’ll also add that it’s difficult to define cheap and expensive. Most tools are actually moderately priced and of adequate quality.

I’m always and forever the contrarian. Ha ha.

I put a fortune into my polisher/grinders buying the best I could. I LOVE these tools. They were the most used tools of my project.

This is interesting to me. I’m the exact opposite.

I will not but a battery powered tool at all. Ever.

I am fearful of the battery running out when I need it or just the battery getting old...

I've found zero correlation between longevity of a tool and its price.

Having put many hundred (even thousands?) of hours on all my tools, their longevity is just unique to each tool.
