I have a 50' performance cruising cat of the kind you can definitely capsize fron wind if you screw up. It's 7tons now. Max of 8-9 tons when more interior is complete. I also have a 50 Gulfstar...

As an owner of one of these sorts of boats, it's my first choice in that once in a lifetime storm. Bare poles, boards and rudders up out of the water. Get in your bunk and wait it out. Not much...
