You want something:
Not commercially made,
Extremely high quality,
That weighs nothing,
Off the shelf,
Inexpensively.

Grinder ($100), various wheels ($100), and TIG set up ($1,200). Material about $13/pound. 6” diameter plate.

You will do 4. 2 full days tops @ $100/hour is $1,600/4 is $400 each.

The “collar” is inside, not visible, nor are the welds.

Outside the box thinking.

A - Call Garhauer, the hardware folks. I have had them make custom fittings. Bery reasonable.
B - Look at a different style fitting. Essentially what you want to do...
