Ah, ok, well your question has already been answered I see from other comments. You can flake it into a bag at its foot if you want ease of access.

Roller furling of the foresail shouldn't interfere with the drifter if you have the rigging needed to hoist it.

If he wants to straighten the luff, and easier option may be to incorporate a dyneema bolt-rope into it, or simply some 12 strand polyester with the ability to adjust it at the tack.

Yea, although for a 19' boat an ss stay is probably a waste of money for this application.

That's acceptable for a drifter, it can be loose luffed. Assuming that you don't have a pullpit that distorts the foot, you should be able to get it to set outside the lifelines with the sheets...

Anyway, you shouldn't need a stay necessarily, but dyneema would certainly do. I don't see why it would not be able to clear the lifelines though. But you could raise the tack to avoid that. The luff...
